Manasseh Sogavare - the Puppet

The Australian government has donated police vehicles and deadly weapons to the Solomon Islands' government per the request of the prime minister of the less developed country in the region. The ridiculous thing he said in justifying these deadly weapons is that they are crucial to the prosperity of the country, which is absolutely ridiculous. Besides that, he also accepted donation from China of motorbikes and riot vehicles. Are these weapons necessary or are these so-called powers merely feeding into the paranoia of this mentally unstable prime minister?  Prime Minister Sogavare had been in government since the 90s and was elected in 1997 until now as MP for East Choisel. And he should remember that in the 1980s and 1990s, prosperity defined the country, and though various governments succeeded, and the economy fluctuated, it was largely considered stable until the late 1990s when the SI government decided to buy weapons to protect itself from the threats posed by the PNG Defense

  The Crooked Prime Minister In 2019, Sogavare was elected as an independent. He didn't have a party that commands the majority of the elected MPs. He didn't have any leg to stand on in terms of party numbers or affiliations. During the negotiation process, Sogavare rounded up Independent MPs and formed a large party in violation of the law. The unethical move granted Sogavare the majority party that required to lead the coalition of parties to form the government. He was able to establish a majority of the coalition and became a clear contender for the office of the Prime Minister.  Illegal maneuvers The other camp led by Peter Kenilorea and Matthew Wale apparently saw Sogavare's maneuvers as an illegal tactic that needed to be addressed by the courts immediately. As such, they sued for the court, as they should, to redress the constitutional impasse. Unfortunately, the judge ruled in favour of Sogavare on a technicality.   The Prime Minister of Solomon Islands is pimping out his country like a pimp sending out his prostitutes to sleep with total strangers for cash. It is unbelievable what he is doing in SI. Here are the pimping parallels:  1. Sogavare invited China in, kicking Taiwan out. China enters SI and started building the country's sporting infrastructure.  2. Working with China's main Asian rival, Japan on key projects.  3. Met with Australian leaders and then Australian prime minister to discuss cooperation between the two countries.  4. Australia provided funds for the Pacific Games in Honiara. Also Australians have been in the country since 2021 providing important services to the country. And also training SI police for the upcoming SP Games. 5. Met with the US president in Washington, D.C. and had his name down as one of the signees of the Pacific/US partnership, though his embassy retracted.  6. Claims FBI is going to train SIRP.  7.   On Saturday China  slammed a recent report by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, which claimed that China is attempting to "spread false narratives and suppress information on a range of topics" in the Solomon Islands. Chinese authorities said such move is an ineffective attempt to stir trouble. There is no doubt that the Chinese Communist Party is all over Solomon Islands influencing its decision making, and its domestic policies. This is a violation of all diplomatic decorum where domestic issues are left to the governing bodies, not foreign entities. In the months after booting China out of the country, China wanted to ensure no one in the country had any connection to Taiwan. No only did the government of Sogavare pushed hard against any provinces that still remained loyal to Taiwan, it was doing so at the best of Beijing.  A delegation consisting of 32 officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) led by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ian Vaevaso and Assistant Commissioner (AC) Evelyn Thugea left for China for a month’s training. Most of the officers who are from the RSIPF National Response Department left the country on 8 October 2022 for a seminar on police techniques. What techniques these officers don't know that the Chinese police know?  And Sogavare is Chinese Puppet The leaders of the Pacific nations met in Washington, D.C. to sign a symbolic cooperation agreement with the United States. That effort by the Biden administration to woo the governments of the Pacific came crashing down as Sogavare refused to sign the agreement. This move is not by accident. Sogavare didn't just wake up in Washington, D.C and decided, the US government didn't need his corporation. As a Manchurian Prime Minister, he acted on behalf of the Chinese government, and everything he did since arrive in the US a few weeks ago, was to please his handler in Beijing, Xin Jinping.  The Solomon Islands' embassy in New York explained that the Sogavare government wants more time to look at the agreement, study it and understand its underlying message and long-term consequences.  SOGAVARE LIED AT THE UNGA The Prime Minister of SI spoke at the United Nations General Assembly, attacking two important key issues he believes that are hurting his government and SI.  First, he went after what he called an effort on 'Social Media' to spread disinformation about his 'China – SI' security pact, which he signed earlier this year. In it, Sogavare claimed that most of the things said about him and his new friends, the Chinese Communist Party, were done deliberately to mislead his country and the world. As a result of that, he said the misleading information led to riots and looting, as we'd seen at the end of 2021.  Secondly, Sogavare attacked – indirectly – Australia and its allies such as the US and Britain.  Member of Parliament for East Guadalcanal has issued an apology to people who may feel hurt about the statements he uttered in parliament during the second reading of the constitutional amendment bill 2022. “I apologize to the peace loving people of this country for the words I used in parliament recently,” Honorable Bradley Tovosia stated. “I understand that my statements were taken out of context to say I directed it to certain ethnic grouping, I want to put in paper that I never specifically called out any particular ethnic group,” Tovosia clarified.   Hon. Braddley Tovosia (55), MP for Guadalcanal Mr. Tovosia is a Member of Parliament from Guadalcanal Province . He is one of the avid supporters of the Mr. Sogavare in his pro-Chinese agenda. In the recent parliament seating last week, he rose to his feet and berated opposition MPs and attacked so-called protesters and rioters - many of them from Malaita province. He told them to leave Guadalcanal, and Honiara. He later clarified his remarks and paid compensation to Malaitan leaders and apologized for his unnecessary outburst in parliament.  There are better ways to approach this issue. He could have addressed those rioters and people who planned to disrupt Honiara during the parliamentary seating through the 'Speaker of Parliament'. Yet, he was directly talking to Opposition MPs who are mainly from Malaita Province.  Like Sogavare, Hon. Tovosia is an aggressive, bully and a sometimes acting as if he was speaking to a bunch of gangsters, and not honourable Members representi

  In his past three terms as a prime minister, he was considered a stubborn leader who would bully his ministers and backbenchers to bend to his will. During his three terms, he lost the majority of MPs, each time he was removed from the office of the PM and replaced by new PMs via secret ballot.  The Question is now is - why is he still in power?  The answer is, Mr. Sogavare is backed by Chinese money. The first trial of his Chinese-back government occurred at the end of 2021 when Parliament met to consider a No-Confidence Motion filed by the Leader of Opposition, Hon. Matthew Wale. After screaming and shouting on the floor of parliament led by Sogavare, the vote was heavily in favor of the Mr. Sogavare. He decisively defeated the NCM giving him time to implement his Chinese-backing agenda. 

  If you put water in a glass container and watched for days, you won't see any change to the water, the clarity, depth and its movement. But if you put a hard object inside that water, it changes everything. It changes the stillness of the water, its depth, and coloring if the object is colored. Your conclusion is, the foreign object changed the nature of the water. In this analogy, your conclusion is simply - the foreign object changed everything.  Sogavare and China Since China entered SI, everything changed and continues to change. The election dates are deferred, foreign Naval ships are being subjected to new standards, reaction to foreign diplomat changed, views on human rights changed, regional security also changed, and new standard for accepting foreign money also changed. So, the new changes and be summed up this way - they come along because of the Chinese government's presence in SI. 

  Mr. Sogavare is the law - he changed the law of the country to suit his own political agenda. Last week, 37 Members of Parliament backed Sogavare to extend parliament term from 4 years to 5 years, simply changing the laws for his personal ambitions, in what pundits beloved was done at the behest of the Chinese government.

Mr. Sogavare is the only prime minister in the history of Solomon Islands to hold the office of Prime Minister in four different terms - 2000, 2006, 2014, and 2019 - to current.  In his first three stints, Sogavare was marred by controversies and eventually voted out of office. He became the most revered and feared politicians in Solomon Islands. He was also the first PM to take on Australia after the election of 2006 - kicking out the Australian Higher Commission to SI, and appointed a sex offender as Attorney General of SI in defiance of protestation of the 'Civil Society' and the regional partners.
