Even the devil goes to church for some fun. Here is Prime Minister Manasseh as "guest of honour in the 30th anniversary of the All Pacific Arise and Sukkot 2022", an event that "gives honour" and "glory and recognition to God as the Lion of Judah," but inviting someone who has a habit of sleeping around while married, divorced a few times, invited a Christian butcher to SI, is the most hypocritical thing Christians in the Pacific and SI ever did.
The most corrupt prime minister in the history of SI and perhaps in the region for that matter, was given the opportunity to spread bullshit in the name of God. Solomon Star News reported that "Sogavare proclaimed that God is the leader of the country and as God’s servant, he is only a custodian of the highest position of the land." A country so corrupt and had given up its moral standard in order to get cheap money from a country that enslaved its own children in factories across China, in order to benefit itself financially makes SI an evil country, and I'm sure if there's a god, that god had turned its back on Solomon Islands since 2000. Who destroyed SI in 2000? The answer is - Sogavare himself. As for the last part of his statement, Sogavare is the "custodian" of a corrupt and bankrupt country.
But what was this PM aimed to gain from this event? The answer is here - "the Prime Minister’s proclamation was received with overwhelming praises from the large audience at the Maranatha Hall." He wanted praises; he wanted validation; he wanted religious covers; he wanted his people and his church- the SDA - to love him, and it works. In an event that was created to give honour to God, the only guy that got all the honour and praises was Sogavare himself. Again, even the devil went to church.
Again, the man that received all the glory was Sogavare himself. "Earlier on in the day, PM Sogavare was garlanded with a traditional red money commonly known as tafuliae and was led into the venue by a traditional dancing group" another sign the even was simply a religious propaganda cover to praise the man that had benefited many of Solomon Islands' MPs - Sogavare himself. This event was a mockery for our Christian beliefs and religious principles. It was a mockery of Christianity and its principles. They should have named this even "giving Sogavare Honor and Glory".
